Can my employees refuse to use the location-based clocking device?

Yes, if geolocation is not essential to the execution of their mission or if another means of control exists. The principle is that the device must be justified and proportionate. A legitimate refusal may take place if the employer does not comply with the conditions set by the CNIL or if the employee shows that the system is excessively intruding on his private life.

Does the mobile clocking device work without an internet connection?

Yes, the app records scores in offline mode. As soon as an internet connection is re-established (Wi-Fi or mobile data), the data is automatically synchronized with the server. This ensures continuity of service even in areas with poor network coverage.

Can I keep track of overtime and delays?
