Does clocking work without a network?
Mobile clocking needs a connection at the moment of clocking. On sites with poor coverage, the tablet time clock installed at a fixed point takes over: in the site cabin or welfare unit. It syncs as soon as the network is back.
Is geolocated clocking legal?
Yes, provided it is properly framed. It stays limited to the moment of clocking, with no continuous tracking, your employees must be informed, and the data is processed in line with UK GDPR. A data protection impact assessment is recommended. Skello records the location at the moment of clocking, not your teams' movements.
Can Skello handle several sites at once?
Yes. You run several sites in parallel and assign your teams to the right one, even when they move from site to site, across every trade. Clocked hours stay tied to each site, which makes cost tracking and invoicing reliable.
Does the schedule adapt to bad weather and last-minute changes?
Yes. When someone is off, running late or work is rained off, you reassign your teams and change the schedule in a few clicks, without starting over. Changes are notified in real time to your teams, on their phone, by SMS or email.
Does Skello comply with construction working rules?
Yes. Skello applies the rules of the CIJC Working Rule Agreement and the Working Time Regulations: maximum hours, rest periods, premiums. It alerts you before you publish a schedule that breaches them. Clocked hours then feed a reliable payroll preparation.
