Ampostforming is a company specialized in interior design, based in Lille. With 30 years of expertise in the design of high quality furniture, it offers design and production services for professionals and individuals.

With a team of 14 employees both on site and working with their customers, Ampostforming chose Skello to support them in managing their teams, from planning to payroll.

Gwenaëlle Crépy, executive assistant, shares her experience in managing working time and absences thanks to Skello.

Calculating overtime increases: a manual and time-consuming task before Skello

Before adopting Skello, the company used time management software that was integrated into their operating system. Unfortunately, it was not very ergonomic and especially did not automatically calculate increased overtime based on the time worked and their collective agreement. Gwenaëlle explains:

Every month, during the pay period, we had to recalculate all the increases. Whether in recovery or increased overtime, we had to do the calculation ourselves, and that could sometimes be a source of error.

This is what prompted the company to turn to a more automated and more intuitive alternative, to easily plan the daily life of teams and to make payroll preparation more reliable.

The fact that the calculations of the hours of the increase are done by themselves is already revolutionary. Besides, it's really intuitive, it's colorful - it makes you want to work on it. And then it's online, unlike our old software, which is therefore accessible from everywhere.


Automated time and absence management thanks to Skello

If Gwenaëlle is so confident in the reliability of Skello's calculation of variable payroll elements, it is in particular because she has equipped her employees with the clocking device. She tells us that thanks to the precision and responsiveness of the digital clocking device, the mental load associated with tracking hours worked and updating hour counters has greatly decreased. Moreover, she is not the only one: according to our recent survey*, 88% of Skello customers gain up to 4 hours per week of checking and re-entering hours thanks to the clocking device.

It's so smart that if the employee arrives late, they get their badge late. And even if an employee was not scheduled to be on the shift, they can still sign up and work. It is not locked.
There is no more calculation to do, the counters are always up to date. On Monday morning, I validate the previous week, so that employees know in real time how many hours they worked overtime. I don't need to tell them: “Look, that's it, but in fact, take 3-4 hours away.”

The management of absences in the company has also undergone a real revolution thanks to Skello. Before its adoption, this task was tedious and not very optimized. The transition to 100% digital management has transformed this process into a smooth, centralized and hassle-free operation, benefiting both employees and HR managers.

Before, for example, a leave request had to be made on paper, had to be signed by the manager, scanned, photocopied, and updated the load plan and the software. Now, it's intuitive. the employee makes the request on Skello, presto, it's validated. Everything is digitized, and we have access to the history of requests.


The transition to Skello: successful change management

The implementation of Skello was carefully prepared by Gwenaëlle. To ensure a smooth transition, she tested the tool herself before introducing it to employees and presenting the benefits.

I had installed it on my phone 15 days before to do some tests. I wanted to make sure I fully understood how to use the badge before sharing it with them. I told them it was going to make their lives easier.
For example, that they would have the counters for paid leave and overtime in real time, which they could easily compare with their pay slip. And also that they would no longer have to wait to be on site for the company to make their absence requests. The adoption was very quick.

Ultimately, integrating Skello has increased the transparency and autonomy of teams at Ampostforming, as well as for the majority of our customers. In fact, 75% of our customers have noticed a significant improvement in their relationship with their teams since using Skello.
