Welcome to Pays de la Loire. A few kilometers north-west of Angers, bucolic fields and forests extend over several hectares. It is in this corner that the Domaine du Moulin Cavier is nestled. Founded in 1961, this establishment welcomes visitors from all over France, which it maintains with its restaurants and multiple activities. To remain ever more efficient, Skello helps Jean-Luc and Ludivine Huez, managers of the Hotel, in managing their teams. In particular through the electronic signature, implemented in the organization as soon as the functionality was released.
On this subject, we spoke with Aurélie Gareau, the Human Resources Manager.
Aurélie Gareau knows the house and the region well. She was as close as possible to the field and in contact with customers for many years at Moulin Cavier. By taking on a more supervisory role today, she brings her experience and knowledge of the field to manage employees.
I worked 10 years as a front desk manager at this establishment, so I know it well. I left in particular to do a course in Human Resources and Payroll Management. And today, I am back at Moulin Cavier and I am working as HR Manager.
Our hotel is a 48-room establishment including seminar rooms and a spa. Around this, we have two restaurants that serve lunch and dinner: a brasserie restaurant open all week and a gourmet restaurant open until Saturday.
All this represents around fifty employees. That's eight people in the gourmet restaurant with the apprentices and the three waiters. There are a dozen for the Brasserie. And the rest in the hotel, including the cleaning ladies.
The Human Resources Manager is well aware of the process that used to be used for timesheets. Here she shows us the time and productivity savings that Skello's electronic signature represents.
With Skello, I manage the schedules, the monitoring of the hours and the sending of the sheets. This is practical because it allows you to have a good vision, regular monitoring at the level of the badge, which is important, and a possible validation of employees, which is quite good.
The electronic signature was implemented in its first week of release. It is very practical. Before that, once a month, a person was in charge of printing everyone's timesheets and then giving them to them so that they could check and sign, it was really tedious... You had to have all the employees at the same time for them to bring back the leaves... Not to mention that a month later, and me the first, it's hard to know how many hours I did the first week! I wouldn't be sure I would be able to check.
Before Skello's electronic signature, the process was tedious and cumbersome.
Hotel and restaurant teams are the first users of the electronic signature. Aurélie exchanges regularly with them and, as an HR manager, she heard about their feelings on the Skello solution and the tools put in place. In this regard, they all seem to speak with the same voice: electronic signatures make their lives easier.
From our employees, the feedback is positive because they now receive the timesheets by the week and it is still much more convenient for them. Now, when I send the sheets on Monday, they really know what they did the week before. It allows you to track what they can do, to check for errors and to have the hour count updated every week.
For the employees, it is still a comfort, they are happy. It allows them to take the time to check everything on their end. In any case, the feedback I got was really positive.
This allows a possible return of errors that may be on the timesheets. And that as you go, and not three months later when you realize that there was a problem. For me, it allows me to send them back directly by email: “Do you have a problem? Is it voluntary... or an oversight?”
It's less paper so less manipulation: everything is done digitally, I think that's very good!
There is a real ambition to digitize processes at Moulin Cavier. The benefits are multiple, but their main objective is to improve the lives of their field teams. As with every change, some are reluctant at first but all are beginning to see the obvious benefits. So much so that the management of the establishment is enthusiastic about sharing ways to improve the solution with Skello.
“The electronic signature: it's practical, ecological and a time-saver”
We are in an establishment that seeks dematerialization as much as possible for a very practical side. Especially with software, where the aim is for it to be accessible anywhere.
This electronic signature solution is accessible from anywhere! There are no leaves lying around to the right or to the left... It's recorded, archived.
